As a general rule, after dinner speakers tend to fall into one of two categories: worthy but dull or too near the knuckle for comfort. Amanda is the exception that proves the rule. Dubbed 'Motor racing’s glamorous successor to Murray Walker’ by the Mail on Sunday, Amanda leads the new breed of action-girl presenter.
Refreshingly fearless and always up for a challenge, she has recently been voted one of TV’s rising stars by Zoo magazine. As the first British woman to take part in the tough FEA World GT Championship – and the first to win an international long distance race (Spa in Belgium, September 2003) – she has a wealth of stories which go down especially well with the ladies in the audience.
